Cabbage! Hi, I'm Thora and I have an obsession.

 What leads a grown woman to clap, cavort, and giggle in the aisles of a second hand store before dozens of strangers? A designer handbag at some stupidly discounted price? A long sought after porcelain figurine of a sad clown? Or perhaps a hand-painted portrait of politician and duelist Aaron Burr? Nope, hell no, and no, not my thing. 

  A water-stained faux red cabbage for 99 cents. 

Yup. Slightly frayed nylon fabric wrapped over a styrofoam core in poor imitation of a Brassica oleracea. But HOT DAMN I just found a red cabbage!!!!! Dye Bundle UNLOCKED!!!!! 

My name is Thora and I am obsessed with the game Stardew Valley. Seriously. Over 2,000 hours of playtime obsessed. Starting to collect real-life representations of in-game objects ( like crops, artisan products, mineral specimens, tools,etc) obsessed. I've started planning a display area in my home to house my collection. 

My very vague idea of casually cosplaying as my farmer at GenCon this year has spawned a totally new fixation of amassing as much as I possibly can to furtger immerse myself into the world of SDV. I'm a fan but I'm also that type of person who plunges head first into something if it catches their attention. And just like in the game, the thrill of collecting items and reachings achievements is addictive.

Oh, I'm fully aware that I am NOT mentally stable. 😉 But reality is shit so let's have fun, yeah?

Cosplay and photo shoot ideas are tumbling around in my brain. Is this just another shiny project started by my goblin brain that might fade into obscurity? 🤷‍♀️ Am I having fun with all the thoughts and inspirations swirling around in my head? YES!!!!!

I walked out of the store with a large wicker basket full of faux produce ( it looked like someone else with an obsession donated it all recently 🤣) including my prized dirty cabbage AND a PARSNIP!!! LOL  I'm easily amused, what can I say.

Last night I started researching the minerals that I need to collect. Note: Mr. Barone, you need to get your shit together in regards to the spelling/naming of the minerals. Alamite is not a thing as far as I can gind. Did you mean adamite? Bixite is more commonly known as bixbyite. Just two examples I ran into right off the bat. Being the sole person designing a game is no excuse for confusing your crazed  devoted fans! 😝

Here is to the begining of the documentation of this project. I'm sure that my partner will be absolutely thrilled when he realizes I've started another Brilliant and Clever Project. He really deserves a mermaid's pendant and prismatic shard.
